Q1.Who can apply?
Any graduating Canadian high school student or first year University student. (citizen or landed immigrant)

Q2.How will I know if you received my application?
You will be notified by email within 7 days of its receipt.

Q3.What Are My Chances? What is the committee looking for?
The only “guarantee” is that if you don’t apply, you can’t win. The Committee does not expect detailed and intimate knowledge of Cambridge. They look for students who have demonstrated great academic achievement, a reasonable plan of study, and a strong desire of succeeding at Cambridge.

Q4. Is Cambridge University the right place for me to study?
Cambridge will be a challenging and very rewarding experience for the student who has the ability and determination to succeed. It is also a caring institution with relatively low drop out rates reflecting its success as an open and inclusive university.

Q5. What does the application process involve?
Read the directions in the application procedure section. If things are still unclear, feel free to contact us.

Q6. Will I be contacted if I am not accepted for an interview?
Yes, each applicant will receive notification from the scholarship committee.

Q7. I have been awarded a scholarship. How do I collect the money?
Tuition related costs will be paid directly to the College and University. Air travel will be provided through the Toronto offices of Blyth Education. Accommodation fees will be paid directly to the College while maintenance funds will be provided quarterly directly to you in Cambridge.

Q8. Can I defer my scholarship?
No, the scholarship cannot be deferred. Recipients must begin study in the University of Cambridge on October 1, 2009. If for some reason you cannot take up your place at the University, we will not be able to hold the scholarship for you. The scholarship will be offered to another applicant.

Q9. Can I apply for any course?
Acceptance into any undergraduate degree other than Medicine, Veterinary studies, Architecture, Education studies and Geography is accessible to the scholarship recipient.

Q10. Is the fee sufficient to cover all my expenses?
Yes, all reasonable expenses will be covered.

Q11. Will I need a Visa to study in UK?
Yes, you will need a student visa. We will provide you with help in the process and pay the fees. You must be in Canada when you make your application. The British High Commission in Ottawa is the only British visa office in Canada. The quickest and easiest way to apply for your visa is to apply online at   http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/ no more than three months before you plan to travel.

Q13. Is there a fee to submit my Scholarship Application to Blyth Education?
 No, there is no fee.
